The origin
We were inside the practice before we built the software.
Jelo was started by Joel — an optical practice manager who spent his days running the front desk, the optical floor, and the back-office insurance work all at once. He used the same legacy optometry software most independent practices use. It was outdated, hard to use, and expensive. Worst of all, none of the tools talked to each other — the same patient data had to be typed into two or three different programs in the same visit.
