A single-location practice moved from paper charting to electronic records, with easier chart access and automatic tracking of HIPAA acknowledgments and consent to treatment.
In their words
“It’s very intuitive. It’s easy to learn.”
Optician and owner · On getting started with Jelo. This is a short excerpt; the video contains the customer’s fuller account.
Before Jelo: paper charts and difficult tracking
Care Optica has one location and previously used paper charting. Finding charts and keeping track of HIPAA acknowledgments and consent to treatment were difficult parts of the daily workflow.
Getting started: an easy adjustment from day one
The doctor responded positively to Jelo from the first day. The practice found the system easy to navigate and quick to learn, making the transition to everyday use a short adjustment.
After Jelo: records and consent tracking together
Charts, HIPAA acknowledgments and consent to treatment are now tracked in Jelo, with automatic tracking replacing the practice’s earlier manual process. Care Optica reported a substantial improvement in efficiency. In the video, the owner describes less filing, scanning, printing and spending on folders.

The workflow they discuss
The speaker identifies himself as Care Optica’s owner and an optician. He describes moving toward electronic files, learning Jelo, reducing his use of paper folders and contacting support. His statements about affordability and support describe his own experience, not a current price comparison or a service-level promise.

What to evaluate for your own team
Ease of learning depends on your roles, current tools and workflow. Ask the staff who will use the system to walk through an exam, optical sale and billing example. Agree on training and migration scope before setting a go-live date.
These are the practice’s reported experiences. No measured percentage increase in efficiency, revenue result or practice-wide training benchmark is claimed. To evaluate your own results, record a baseline and measure the same work after implementation.
